Autumn Cards Anyone? I Love These Easy Embossed Pumpkin Card Ideas

Die Cutting· Gallery

6 Oct

Handmade Autumn cards are some of my favorites to make. I’ve made 3 embossed pumpkin cards with the Stampin’ Up! Hello Harvest bundle.

I excitedly pulled out this lovely bundle intending to stamp but found myself gravitating to the ‘Rustic Pumpkin Dies’ for die-cutting and embossing pumpkins and building my cards from there.

To make this black and white autumn card I die-cut 3 pumpkins using basic white cardstock and 4 additional pumpkins from 2 patterns from the Rustic Harvest Designer Paper. Next, I used the ‘skinny’ pumpkin to die-cut from white cardstock. You’ll want to check out all the details shown in the video!

Which of These Autumn Cards was your favorite? I love reading your thoughts!

My Autumn card 2 (Teal Pumpkin) matches my decor!

I love the different colors of my ceramic pumpkins! They were the inspiration for autumn card #2!

The dies in this set have an embossed area on the pumpkin and I love that! You can take a marker and color the embossed area on the die with a Stampin’ Write (water-based) Marker. Do not use alcohol markers, like Stampin’ Blends for! The video above demonstrates exactly how it’s done.

Autumn Card 3 Stamped & Heat Embossed Pumpkin

And now for the stamped pumpkin card! Wouldn’t you love a shimmery autumn card? Time for a little heat embossing with Versamark & Gold Powder. I stamped right on top of one of the pattern designs found in the Rustic Harvest Designer Papers for this pumpkin.

To continue the shimmery look I used the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder on Gold Foil and Crumb Cake Cardstock. It’s a super easy card but very elegant!
