6 DIY Thank You Cards That Will Bring Joy and Smiles

Gallery· Thank You· Uncategorized

I’ve got 6 DIY Thank you cards that will bring joy and a smile! These card making ideas are beautiful and perfect to send to anyone. Are you excited to get creative?!

A friend of mine needed some DIY Thank you cards so I started making some for her.  I know she will need quite a few cards but I wanted them to all be different so this card design idea and layout is perfect.

I was inspired to use Gorgeous Grape and Bermuda Bay together when I saw a project on Pinterest that had nothing to do with handmade cards!

The Stampin’ Up! ‘Flourishing Phrases’ stamp set has a thank you sentiment that was perfect for these cards. When I combined it with Flourish Dies I made some really fun cards!

First I took the Flourish Die and layed it across Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock and Bermuda Bay Cardstock and basically cut the 4″ x 5 1/4″ layers into two pieces.

Then I started playing with different looks using the Flourish Die cut out with different colors of cardstock and where I wanted to stamp Thank You So Very Much.

Also, I pulled out two embossing folders – Beads & Baubles and Scripty 3D Embossing Folder.  As I make more of these I plan on using different folders to give them all a different look.

Here are what the finished cards look like.  I love how I could mix and match and have them all look different!  How I could use the pieces in different ways gave each card a fun look!

Changing things up a bit by embossing with Emboss Powders!  First I stamped the flowers with Gorgeous Grape, then poured Clear Emboss Powder over and heat set.  Then, I stamped vines with Versamark Ink, Poured Copper Emboss Powder over, heat set.  On the Gorgeous Grape solid layer I stamped Thank You with Versamark and poured White Emboss Powder over and heat set!

This card is all Copper!  I love Copper Foil and Copper Emboss Powders!  Embossing to me just adds elegance to a project and this card is very elegant!  If you turn this card sideways it reminds me of the card I made a few years back.  You can see that card HERE

This card used the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder which I love!  Very Vanilla Thick cardstock was used for the base, Very Vanilla Cardstock for the layers and of course Copper Foil for the mat layers!

You will see some more Thank You cards soon that I am working on.  Making these cards for my friend gives me a feeling of helping and I feel like making all the cards different will give her happiness as she chooses which ones to send to those she wants to thank!
