3 Window Sheet Cards You Can Make That Are Unique And Fun

Card Making Ideas· Card Making Techniques· Cards for Friends· Thank You

16 May

Window sheet cards open the possibilities of getting super creative and trying some fun techniques in your card making. Window sheets, also known as acetate sheets, are super versatile and have so many options for creating texture and layers in your card designs. Whether you want to create charming window boxes or use the sheets to create shaker cards, your project will look unique!

I often use StazOn ink on window sheets, but here’s a crucial tip: make sure you have a steady hand, as the ink on the sheets can get a little slippery.

At the Stampin’ Up! Onstage event in Houston, they showcased a variation of this first card design. By utilizing Alcohol-Based Stampin’ Blends and Rubbing Alcohol on the reverse side of the window sheets, a stunning background is achieved. I opted to include a complete card inside the Acetate card, so that there would be ample space to write a message. Both cards are sized at 4-1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5-1/2″. Conceal adhesive behind die-cut images and greetings for a seamless finish. For additional tips, watch my video tutorial!

Window Sheet Cards: Video Tutorial

Check out the magic of window sheet cards in action! The video tutorial teaches you how to make stunning cards and showcases design ideas featuring the new Stampin’ Up! Seaside Wishes bundle. The video is guaranteed to spark your creativity!

Which of these window sheet cards do you want to make first? Do you have the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Wishes bundle on your wish list?

Window Sheet Card #2

The Seaside Wishes Bundle includes:

  • Seaside Wishes Stamp set
  • Seaside Wishes Hybrid Embossing Folder & coordinating dies

For this second card, I embossed the window sheets and placed them over the seashells. The new Basic Beige cardstock went so well with the Calypso Coral—I love this color combination!

I saved the best for last! This third window sheets card features the Summer Splash cardstock and Calypso Coral ink. A 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” window sheet was cut to create the window on this card. I sandwiched it between two pieces of cardstock; one at the top and the other at the bottom of the card. It was the perfect way to hide the adhesive!

The Seaside Wishes Bundle caught my eye because y’all know I love the beach. Stay tuned because I’m sure I’ll design even more with this must-have bundle!
