I’m so excited to teach you how to make a beautiful get well card today! Or turn this into a ‘Thinking of you card’ if you prefer. This cheerful card is certain to brighten someone’s day!

Having positive thoughts makes you happy and encourages good mental health! Doing crafty things like card making helps you in so many ways.  When you are happy with your project and decide to share it with someone you bring them happiness too!

Want some good news? Stampin’ Up! has matching dies for Positive Thoughts stamp set too! I have looked at this stamp set for awhile but didn’t want to fussy cut the images so I jumped on purchasing the Nature’s Thoughts Dies!

This first beautiful get well card I created uses only stamped images; nothing was cut out just #simplestamping!  The colors look so well together.

Would you make the simple stamped version or the stepped up?

With the Nature’s Thoughts Dies I started stepping it up a bit!  Using basically the same layout but adding more stamped leaves and a die cut leaf.  Die Cutting the flowers allowed me to tuck one of them underneath one of the leaves.  Flying off the plants the butterfly seems more alive!

When you look at the dies included in the Natures Thoughts Dies you will find this beautiful stitched rectangle die.  I had to use it and basically have the same design.  Can you see the little die cut flower peaking out?  That little flower has lots of cutouts that I opened up with my Take Your Pick Tool.

I did add a sentiment layer on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Since the sentiment is long I had to make my layers longer too.  Daffodil Delight Layer is 1 1/4″ x 4″, the Whisper White layer is 1″ x 3 3/4″

Simple but stepped up just using the Nature’s Thoughts Dies!  And this is the only time I break my rule of stamping Black ink on colored cardstock.  When stamped on any shade of yellow it still looks good!

Positive Thoughts stamp set was so easy to use to make a quick card and I am thinking that I could simply change the sentiments from other stamp sets for any occasion..birthdays, thank yous or thinking of you cards!

Teaching others how to make cards makes me a teacher.  While I have sold Stampin’ Up! products for over 22 years my passion is teaching and if you happen to like what I taught you I am happy to help you order those items and get them in your hands
