Let me show you how to layer die cuts for a fun layered greeting card! I love layering die cuts so that I get some depth and interest to my greeting cards!!
The Stampin’ Up! Friend Like You stamp set is amazing. There are so many card design ideas I can think of with this set!
When you combine the Friend Like You stamp set with the Friendly Silhouette Dies you can get even more fabulous handmade greeting cards and paper crafting creations with it.
I think you’ll love watching how to layer die cuts and bring a card to life.
Originally I chose not to add any green behind the palm fronds and my original card looked like this! And I really think I still like it so don’t be afraid to try both methods out….that’s what makes handmade greeting cards so unique!
I shared tips on coloring the water on my video as well as how to fix any boo boos! Y’all know I am the queen of boo boos! Sometimes I want to edit those out of a video but I leave them in to help you not waste time or supplies! My video may seem a bit long but it’s because I share so many tips!
How to Layer Die Cuts
As you will see on the video I struggled with how the palm trees cut out but I figured it out and it’s actually very easy to make this. I think you’ll enjoy learning how to layer die cuts and taking a look at other dies you have to think about other sets you own that will layer nicely!
