Took time off to enjoy my Anniversary the past five days! And right before I left I got sick for two days. That can really mess up stamping and creating blog posts! To add to all of that my Craft Studio ac/heater system had to be replaced and that was a totally wasted day in the studio! And upon my return last night from my wonderful trip I discovered I still have an issue in my studio due to the work that was done last week! So in my office today instead of stamping!
So I thought I would share some of my Anniversary to San Diego, CA trip photos with y’all today and make the best of my situation!
I have always wanted a convertible and my “Shazza” is a fun and classy car to drive! Topless! The car, not me!
Our first night there my friend Janet was in town for a conference and we met her for dinner! So fun as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator to find friends no matter where you go!
My husband Mark is a big Diners, Drive-ins and Dives watcher so we had to check out Crest Cafe! Way too much food but oh so good!
Speaking of friends…my friend Lorraine from Arizona was also in San Diego and we met up on Coronado Island! Just so much fun to see her too!
There was a sand sculptor on the beach and he had this perfect sand art for us! March 3 marked 39 years of marriage!
We visited La Jolla and loved seeing all of the seals on “seal island”!
This was so crazy! This man has trained these pigeons to fly around him and then return back to him! Loved watching him work the birds!
Living in Arizona we don’t get much seafood so we made up for it in San Diego! Soooo very good!
This picture does not do it justice! These donuts were as big as my hand! So many to choose from!
We thought we wanted to go to the San Diego Zoo but after talking to several people we chose to go to San Diego Zoo Safari Park! So glad we did! Such a delight to see the animals in their natural environment!
This big guy was hilarious! He was sitting there like he owned the place watching us watch him!
When the trainer came to feed him he moved his mat that he was sitting on and placed it right under her so he could catch the food she dropped to him! I guess even gorillas deserve a little mat to sit on!
More animals we saw:
More seafood! We ate at the Crab Hut in downtown and they brought our meal in a bag! Just throw the shells on your table when you are done eating!
What a big mess it was! So good tho and we got our fill on seafood…until the next time!
We were so touristy! We rode a Duck Boat Bus! We toured the town and heard about San Diego then we drove off the road into the bay!
We saw more seals too! They sleep 18 hours a day! What a life!
Took time off to enjoy my Anniversary and so enjoyed myself! Good to be home though and get some work done even if my day didn’t go as planned due to my ac/heat unit!
Thanks for stopping by and letting me share my trip with y’all! Hopefully my craft studio will be better soon and I can get back to normal!
