Falling Flowers using May Flower Framelits Click To TweetFalling Flowers using May Flower Framelits was the card I used for our team Mystery Stamping last month.  I wanted to share how I created it and what my inspiration was!  And a fun challenge for you is to take my clues below and create a card using your own supplies!

Falling Flowers using May Flower Framelits Clue #1 – Gather Supplies:

  1. Cardstock for Card Base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  2. Cardstock for layer cut at 3 1/2″ x 5″
  3. Whisper White (2) strips cut at 3 1/2″ x 3/4″. plus scraps (that you will cut to match your sentiment)
  4. Basic Black 3″ x 3″
  5. Outline type of stamps that you can color – need flowers and leaves. If you have coordinating framelets use those, otherwise you can cut out with snips
  6. Sentiment stamp not larger than 2 3/4″ wide
  7. Black Ink
  8. Markers to color flowers and leaves
  9. Ribbon to match cardstock
  10. Dimensionals
  11. Glue Dots

Mystery Stamping Clue #2

Stamp two flowers on Whisper White scrap with Basic Black Ink, cut them out

Stamp two sets of leaves on Whisper White scrap with Basic Black Ink, cut them out

Mystery Stamping Clue #3

Use Stampin’ Write Markers to color the flowers the leaves

Mystery Stamping Clue #4

Stamp small flowers with Basic Black ink over 3 ½” x 5” layer and two strips of Whisper White

Mystery Stamping Clue #5

Assembly of card:

Use Snail adhesive and adhere the 3 ½” x 5” layer to the card base in the center of the card front

Add the two Whisper White stamped strips to the 3 ½” x 5” layer off set just a little with snail adhesive

Add the Basic Black layer to the 3 ½” x 5” layer with snail like this:

Mystery Stamping Clue #6

Stamp sentiment with Basic Black Ink on the Whisper White 2 3/4” layer

Add one leave and flower cutout to bottom left corner on the Whisper

White 2 3/4” layer with Snail

Add Second flower and leaf under top right corner of the Whisper White 2 3/4” layer with Snail

Mystery Stamping Clue #7

Fold ribbon in half, use glue dot to keep it together

Add to top right corner of Whisper White stamped layer with a glue dot

Tie Thick White Bakers Twine into a small bow, add on top of Ribbon with a glue dot

I was inspired by this card in the Occasions Catalog on page 24 that used Memories and More cards.

Using any card from the catalogs can inspire you!

Even though I didn’t have memories and more to make this card I love mine!
